Five Pioneer wrestlers came into the final session at the Jenks Tournament looking to improve their spot on the medal stand.  Ky Corley (119) and Ben Marks (130) were looking for tournament titles; Austin Standage (140), Tyler Pate (160), and T. Mike Walker (275) were each in search of a bronze medal finish.

At 125 lbs., it was a rematch of the 119 lb. 3rd place match at the Class 5A State Tournament, with Corley facing off against Muskogee's Brandon Grooms.  Corley came away with his 1st tournament title of the year with a 4-0 decision.

In his first tournament championship, Marks replicated the score of his teammate Corley with an upset 4-0 victory over Sapulpa's Bryce Hill.  The win for Marks put him into the Top 8 in Class 5A.

In matches decided by 2-points, Standage and Walker collected bronze medals with a 4-2 and 3-1 match score.  Also competing for the bronze medal was Pate, who was up a weight due to openings in the Pioneer line-up.  Pate's unique style of attack proved to be too much for Sapulpa's John Crayton who went on to lose to Pate by tech. fall, 20-3.  Earl Sparrow (215) also placed in the top 6 at Jenks by collecting 4 falls on his way to a 5th place finish.
