Fargo Update - Chris Perry Becomes All-American

Day 1 (Fargo, ND) - July 26, 2006:  Chris Perry entered the 2006 Cadet Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, ND, as a favorite in the 171 lb. weight class. Through the first day of competition of five (5) matches, Perry has been nothing short of dominate. In his first five matches, Perry recorded two (2) falls, two (2) tech. falls, and a decision victory (listed below):

    Match History (Day 1):
  • #1:  Won by Tech. Fall over Zach Bruce (PA) 6-0, 7-0
  • #2:  Won by Fall over Kamron Jackson (MI) 1-0, 0:31
  • #3:  Won by Decision over Mario Gonzalez (IL) 7-1, 3-0
  • #4:  Won by Tech. Fall over Cameron Smith (WA) 8-0, 7-0
  • #5:  Won by Fall over Leon White (NJ) 6-0, 0:25

Day 2 (Fargo, ND) - July 27, 2006:

    Match History (Day 2):
  • #6:  Loss by Decision vs. Hunter Collins (CA) 0-2, 0-3
  • #7:  Won by Decision over Zac Bennett (PA) 4-3, 5-4


Day 3 (Fargo, ND) - July 28, 2006:  After seven matches and two days, Chris Perry is an All-American and competing for Third Place in the 171 lb. Cadet Freestyle National championships.  Over the first two days, Perry was able to collect six wins en route to a 4th Place finish and All-American status.
