One more than a year ago; Stillwater is sending Eight (8) wrestlers to the Class 5A State Tournament to compete with the best in the state.

At the 5A West Regional, the top 2 teams in Class 5A battled it out at the Class 5A West Regional in Yukon. When the dust settled, the rankings held true, with Stillwater taking home the Runner-Up trophy. This was attributed to a complete team effort which saw, 10 Pioneers place in the Top 6, with 8 of those Pioneers placing in the Top 4, which qualifies them to compete in the State Tournament on February 24-25.

Sitting atop the medal stand was Ky Corley (119), Lance Thompson (140), and Jeff Slaughter (145), while Chad Ravannack (125), Chris Perry (160), and Walker Clarke (171) collected runner-up finishes. The remaining two state qualifiers for the Pioneers were Troy Weatherford (152), finishing 3rd, and Silas Stewart (275), who finished fourth.
