The goal of most high school athletes is to move on to the next level and compete. Last year, Luke Elmore made the move from Stillwater to Labette Community College. This year, two Pioneer wrestlers are going to compete on the collegiate level.
Russell Brorsen, a star athlete in football and wrestling, will take his football talents to the University of Kansas (UK) to play on their defensive line. Along with an outstanding wrestling career that features the most falls in SHS history, Brorsen was also an animal on the football field. You can keep up the Kansas football team by visiting the UK Football Site.
The other Pioneer wrestler who will compete at the collegiate level is Ryan Clanahan. Clanahan will attend NCAA Div. II, Truman State in Kirksville, Missouri. He will look to wrestle around the 165-lb. weight class. You can keep up the the Truman State wrestling team by visiting their wrestling section.
