The Reno Tournament of Champions has historically been one of the toughest tournaments in the country. This year, Stillwater sent five wrestlers to compete against the nation's best in Reno; these wrestlers were Jared Elmore (119 lbs.), Reed Clanahan (171 lbs.), Luke Bean (189 lbs.), Blake Bean (215 lbs.), and Travis Morgan (285 lbs.).

Throughout the 2-day tournament, each Pioneer wrestler was able to collect multiple wins, with Blake Bean and Travis Morgan bringing home hardware. Blake worked his way back through the consolation side of the bracket to a 5-2 record for the weekend and 5th place in the 215 lb. bracket.

Morgan was able to string together a series of wins that saw him upset the #1 and #4 seeds on his way to the championship match. In the championship match, Morgan used a foot sweep to gain the early lead before going on to capture the title with a 4-3 victory. A video of the championship match can be viewed below.
